Paying your property or motor vehicle taxes has never been easier thanks to the ability to pay online. Gwinnett County residents can pay their taxes from anywhere through our website.

DMV Online Renewal from TVgwinnett on Vimeo.

After receiving your renewal notice in the mail, take note of the renewal identification number (RIN) printed on the front. Click here or on the 'Online Tag Renewal' image on the right. This takes you to the Georgia Department of Revenue's website where you will enter your RIN then follow the directions for payment.

The online renewal system accepts all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. There is a 2.35 percent service fee with a minimum of $1.

Click here for other renewal requirements.

Property Tax

The annual property tax bills will be sent to homeowners in early August and due in early October.

Many homeowners have their property taxes paid through an escrow account, so before paying your taxes online, ensure that your mortgage company is not paying your property taxes each year.

Click the 'Pay your property taxes online!' graphic on the right or the 'View/Pay Your Taxes' tab at the top, then search for your property by name, parcel number, situs address or mailing address.

We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and electronic checks. A convenience fee of 2.29 percent applies to all credit card payments; debit cards are accepted for a flat fee of $3.95. There is no charge for paying online by electronic check.
