Jerry Kemp Chief Deputy Tax Commissioner Jerry Kemp, the Chief Deputy Tax Commissioner, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Office of the Tax Commissioner. He has a Bachelor of Science from North Georgia College and a Master's degree from Mercer University. Prior to being sworn-in as the Chief Deputy he was the Director of Information Technology and Director of the Department of Support Services for Gwinnett County Government. Jerry served 27 years as a U.S. Army aviator and retired at the rank of Colonel.
