I have moved from a Gwinnett County address to another address in Gwinnett

The registered owner of the vehicle must submit the change of address request. Please notify us within 30 days of establishing residency in one of the following ways:

By Phone

Contact us at 770-822-8818 during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, except holidays) to change your address. We will need your vehicle identification number (VIN), tag number and new address.

By Email

Email us at Tag@gwinnettcounty.com. Include your VIN, tag number and your new address.

By Mail

Mail the change of address request to Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Office, P O Box 829, Lawrenceville, GA, 30046. Include your VIN, tag number and new address.

By Fax

Fax the change-of-address request to 678-377-4330. Include your VIN, tag number and new address.

In Person

If you prefer to change your address in person, bring your VIN, a valid Georgia DL or Georgia ID card to a Gwinnett County tag office.

In Person

If you have moved into Gwinnett County from another county in Georgia, proof of residency is required. 

Bring your VIN, a valid Georgia DL or Georgia ID card and proof of residency to a Gwinnett County tag office.

Customers moving into Gwinnett from another Georgia county must provide applicable proof of residency documentation and will be allowed to process a change of address via mail, fax or in person. A change of address form must be completed by the registered owner when requesting the change of address by fax or mail.  The form is also available at any tag office. A copy of the registered owner’s Georgia DL must be submitted with the form along with one of the approved proof of residency documents.
