I have moved from a Gwinnett County address to another address in Gwinnett

Please notify us within 30 days of establishing residency in one of the following ways:

By Phone

Contact Customer Service at 770-822-8818 during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, except holidays) to change your address.

By E-mail

E-mail us at Tag@gwinnettcounty.com. Be sure to include your vehicle’s identification number (VIN), tag number and your new address in the message.

By Mail

Mail the change of address request to Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Office, P O Box 829, Lawrenceville, GA, 30046.  Be sure to include your vehicle’s identification number (VIN), tag number and your new address in the message.

By Fax

Fax the change-of-address request to 678-377-4330.  Be sure to include your vehicle’s identification number (VIN), tag number and your new address in the message.

In Person

If you prefer to change your address in person, bring your VIN number, a valid Georgia driver's license or Georgia ID card to a Gwinnett County tag office.

In Person

If you have moved into Gwinnett County from another county in Georgia, proof of residency will be required.  Please click here for proof of residency requirements. 

Bring your VIN number, a valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia ID card and proof of residency to a Gwinnett County tag office.

Customers moving into Gwinnett County from another Georgia county must provide applicable proof of residency documentation and will be allowed to process a change of address via mail, fax or in person.  A change of address form must be completed by the registered owner when requesting the change of address by fax or mail.  You can download a change of address form by clicking here The change of address form is also available at any tag office. A copy of the registered owner’s Georgia Driver’s License ID must be submitted with the change of address form along with one of the approved proof of residency documents.  Please click here for information on proof of residency.
