If the year model of your vehicle is 1986 or newer, you will use the area designated for the seller on the back of your Georgia title to transfer ownership. This is the first assignment area. All other assignment areas are for Dealer use only.
If the year model of your vehicle is 1985 or older, you may use a bill of sale (Form T-7) to transfer ownership of your vehicle. A Georgia Title is not required on vehicles with a model year of 1985 or older.
