As of July 1, 2007, new residents moving to Gwinnett County from out of state are required to provide a valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia ID card with the current Gwinnett County address before a license plate can be issued. New residents moving to Gwinnett County from out of state must provide: A valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia identification card with the current Gwinnett County address before a license plate can be issued. New residents moving to Gwinnett County from another Georgia County must provide: A valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia identification card with the current Gwinnett County address Or The valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia identification card can have the owner’s former Georgia address as long as the owner has one of the below documents, dated within one year, with their name and current Gwinnett County address: Utility bill Lease/rental agreement Bank statement Closing papers Voter registration card For information on how to complete a change of address, please click here.
